I joined people2people in August 2022, coming on board with the Sydney team as a Finance and Accounting Recruitment Consultant. Prior to joining P2P, I worked in customer service for over 16 years at McDonald's in Brisbane. Moving interstate across to New South Wales in early 2022, I was excited to make the jump into recruitment having been able to transfer the experience and skills I had gained from my past experience to hit the ground running with our Sydney team.

Kalissa was tasked with a really difficult role, and really picky hiring managers. And although she did not fill the role, I cannot recommend Kalissa highly. She found us some fantastic candidates, but it was just bad luck that they either pulled out or the hiring manager wasn't sold. Her communication was outstanding throughout, always keeping me updated on progress and candidates she was meeting. Thank you Kalissa for all your hard work, it was really appreciated and I definitely hope to work together again in the future.

I contacted Kalissa before my move to Australia and we agreed to chat ones I arrive. We had our first interview within my first days in Australia and it was highly professional and straight forward, without any quirky questions. Then Kalissa suggested some vacancies out of which I picked two and eventually received an offer from one of them. Kallisa supported me throughout the whole process and was very informative about the roles and what to expect, which helped me greatly to prepare and succeed the interview. Overall, i am pleased with Kallisa assistance and guidance to secure my first professional role (as an Accountant) in Sydney.

We meet online through Teams.
Kalissa nearly covered up her initial surprise to seeing me on Teams, I believe she was shocked by my age. With 40 years experience outlined in my CV I would have thought she would have realised I wasn’t a teenager.
After the initial gaffe, she was informative and conducted a good review of your processes and outlined the position sufficiently.
Having not heard anything for over a week I suspect my age, gender and ethnicity is yet again working against my prospects for this role.
